The McCully Room has a king size bed and is our master bedroom suite. It is named in honor of Frank and Martha McCully, the first owners of this home. Frank McCully is known as the Father of Joseph and the Father of Wallowa County. More than any other single individual, he was responsible for building the town of Joseph, and he literally founded Wallowa County. The McCully bedroom features windows on three sides, and an electric fireplace with a hearth and mantle.
The McCully bath is furnished with the original tub, which is refinished, plus traditional toilet and pedestal sink.
The Joseph Room has a queen size bed and a lovely view of the Wallowa Mountains. The private bath is across the hall, and features the refurbished claw-foot tub with shower and antique style toilet and pedestal sink.
Our Dining Room is lovely and features a built-in china hutch. The ceiling is uniquely trimmed with craftsmanship that would impress any finish carpenter.
The Dawson Room has a queen size bed and is our midsize bedroom. It is named in honor of the two generations of Dawsons who owned the home from 1938 until 2005. Like Frank McCully, both George Dawson and his son Malcolm served as mayors of Joseph. The Dawson bath features a step-in shower and antique style pedestal sink and toilet.
The McColgan Room has a queen size bed and is on the main floor. It is a bright room with plenty of windows that look out on our lovely back yard and the river and mountains beyond. The attached bathroom has a shower, an antique style toilet, and a pedestal sink.
Our Living Room includes an electric fireplace with a gracious hearth and mantle. Wainscoted walls and elegant trim carry throughout the living room, dining room, and stairwell.
